Leon James "Lee" DeWyze Jr. is an American singer-songwriter from Mount Prospect, Illinois, and the ninth season winner of American Idol. Before Idol, DeWyze had a solo career and formed Lee DeWyze Band. He also released two independent albums titled So I'm Told in 2007 and Slumberland in 2010, both on WuLi Records. DeWyze's debut album Live It Up after Idol was released on November 16, 2010 on RCA Records. WuLi Records, citing demand from the DeWyze fan base, released their third album of pre-Idol recordings, What Once Was, on February 14, 2012. Their fifth studio album Frames were released on August 20, 2013, and is the album's sixth album. Oil & Water was released on February 12, 2016. DeWyze's seventh album Paranoia was released on February 16, 2018
