Leigh Griffiths is a Scottish professional footballer who plays as a striker for the Celtic club and the Scottish national team. Griffiths began his career in Livingston, where he made his debut at the age of 16. He then moved to Dundee in 2009 for £ 125,000. In five years playing in the Scottish Premier League, he won 6 Young Player of the Month awards. With Dundee in financial trouble, Griffiths moved to Wolves for around £ 150,000 in January 2011. Without starting regularly in Wolves' first team, he spent the 2011–12 season on loan. at the Scottish Premier League club Hibernian. That loan was extended the following season in which he won the SFWA Player of the Year award and made his Scottish debut. After making an appearance, Griffiths became part of Wolves' plan for the 2013-14 season, moving in mid-season to join Celtic.
