Sandiford-Artest plays college basketball for St. Petersburg John's Red Storm. He has played for six NBA teams and has built a reputation as one of the league's top defenders. He won the NBA Player of the Year award in 2004, when he was also named NBA All-Star and won the All-NBA title. He won the NBA championship in 2010 as a member of the Los Angeles Lakers. Sandiford-Artest has been involved in a number of controversial incidents on the pitch, including Malice au Palais, and is known for his sometimes eccentric and outspoken demeanor. During the 2017-18 season, Sandiford-Artest was the player development coach for the South Bay Lakers of the NBA G League.
