Malkin has written seven books and founded conservative sites Twitchy and Hot Air. Around 2019, Malkin began to publicly support far-right members, including Nick Fuentes. Malkin has been criticized for associating with white nationalists, neo-Nazis and Groypers, including Fuentes and Identity Evropa's leader, Patrick Casey. In November 2019, it was abandoned by the conservative Young America Foundation for its support of anti-Semites and white nationalists.
