Former Strikeforce Women's Bantamweight Champion who won a silver medal in the FILA Grappling Championships in 2008. In February 2013, she debuted in the Ultimate Fighting Championship and won the bantamweight title in 2016.
Miesha Theresa Tate is an American mixed martial arts specialist, grappler and mixed martial artist, Ultimate Fighting Championship champion and former UFC bantamweight champion. Primarily known for his wrestling talent, Tate became a wrestler while attending Franklin Pierce High School in Tacoma, Wash. And won the state championship in her senior year in 2005. She started her professional career in mixed martial arts in 2007 and won the Fighting Bantamweight Championship in 2009. Tate was admitted into in 2011 when she won the Strikeforce Women's Bantamweight Championship. She also won a silver medal at FILA Grappling Championships. In addition to MMA, Tate has modeled for many websites and publications, including ESPN The Magazine and Fitness Gurls. In 2015, Tate was announced as a member of the movie movie Fight Valley.
