Mischa Barton is a British film, television and stage actress. She started her stage career by appearing in Tony Kushner's Slavs! and conducted James Lapine's Twelve Dreams at Lincoln Center in New York City. She made her screen debut as a cameo on the American soap opera All My Children and voiced a character in the Nickelodeon animated series KaBlam !. Her first leading role was the main character in Lawn Dogs, a television series starring Sam Rockwell. She has appeared in major films such as the romantic comedy Notting Hill and M. Night Shyamalan's psychological thriller The Sixth Sense. She also starred in the independent detective film Pups. Barton then appeared in the indie drama Lost and Delirious and played Rachel Wood, Evan's girlfriend on ABC Once and Again. She played the role of Marissa Cooper in the TV series The O.C. of Fox, for which she received two Teen Choice Awards.
