Danish actor who rose to prominence in Hollywood with roles in Black Hawk Down and Kingdom of Heaven. In 2011, he began playing Jaime Lannister in the acclaimed series Game of Thrones. He also acted in the romantic comedy The Other Woman, which was released in 2014.

Nikolaj Coster-Waldau is a Danish actor and producer. He graduated from the Danish National School of Performing Arts in Copenhagen in 1993. He is widely known for his role as Jaime Lannister in the HBO fantasy drama Game of Thrones, which he received two a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor in a Serial Drama. Coster-Waldau's decisive role in Denmark is in the movie Nightwatch. Coster-Waldau has appeared in many of his native Scandinavian and European films, including Headhunters and A Thousand Times Good Night. In the United States, her first film role was in the war movie Black Hawk Down, playing Gary Gordon, who received the Medal of Honor. He went on to play a detective in the brief Fox New Amsterdam television series, and appeared in the 2009 television series Fox Virtuality, originally conceived as a pilot.
