Patricia Mae Andrzejewski, better known as Pat Benatar, is an American rock music singer and songwriter and four-time Grammy Award winner. In the United States, she has had two Platinum albums, five Platinum albums and 15 Top 40 Billboard singles, while in Canada, she had eight Platinum albums in a row. Benatar's 1979 debut album, In the Heat of the Night, was his foray in North America, especially in Canada, where he peaked at number three on the album charts. Two singles were hits: "Heartbreaker" and "We Live for Love", the single was then written by the lead guitarist and her future husband, Neil Giraldo. Benatar's second album, Crimes of Passion, 1981, is his most successful work, reaching No. 2 in North America and France, and is certified 4x and 5x Platinum in the United States and Canada. The single "Hit Me with Your Best Shot" reached the Top 10 in the United States and Canada and is considered her most popular song.
