Paul Zachary Myers is an American biologist who founded and blogged Pharyngula Science. He is Associate Professor of Biology at Minnesota Morris University where he works in developmental biology. He criticized smart design, creative movement, and other pseudo-scientific concepts. In 2006, Nature magazine ranked Myers's Pharyngula as the top ranked blog by a scientist because of its popularity. Myers received the American Society of Humanities' 2009 Humanities Award and the 2011 International Humanities Award. Asteroid 153298 Paulmyers is named in his honor.
