Robert Anthony Plant is an English singer and songwriter, best known as the singer and lyricist of the British rock band Led Zeppelin. Plant has had great success with Led Zeppelin from the late 1960s to the late 1970s. He has developed a compelling image as a charismatic rock and roll leader, similar to contemporaries like The Rolling Stones 'Mick Jagger, The Who's Roger Daltrey, The Doors' Jim Morrison and Freddie Mercury's Queen. With long blond hair and a strong, bare-faced look, Plant helped create the archetype of the "rock and roll god" or "rock god".
