Ronda Jean Rousey is an American professional wrestler, mixed martial artist and retired judoka. She is best known for her time playing at the UFC and her time as a WWE wrestler. His longstanding nickname, "Rowdy", was inherited from the late professional wrestler Roddy Piper. After becoming the first American woman to win an Olympic medal in judo by winning a bronze medal at the 2008 Summer Olympics, Rousey began a career in mixed martial arts. She won her MMA debut at King of the Cage before joining Strikeforce, where she became Strikeforce's last female bantamweight champion before the UFC acquired Strikeforce in 2011. She was the champion. Their first female performance was named the UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion. Rousey took part in the first women's battle in UFC history when she successfully defended the title against Liz Carmouche at UFC 157 and then set a record for the number of UFC belt defenders per a woman.
