From 1970 to 1981, he was a five-time NBA All-Star forward for the San Diego and Houston Rockets. In 1994 and 1995, he led the Houston Rockets to back-to-back NBA championships.
Rudolph Tomjanovich Jr is a former American professional basketball player and coach of the Hall of Fame. He is currently an advisor to the Minnesota Timberwolves of the National Basketball Association. His professional career, spanning from 1970 to 1981, devoted entirely to the San Diego / Houston Rockets. Tomjanovich has won the NBA All-Star five times; four times in a row from 1974 to 1977, then again in 1979. He also made it to the knockout stages five times: in 1975, 1977 and continuously from 1979 to 1981. On May 9 December 1977, during a match between the Rockets and the Los Angeles Lakers, Tomjanovich was the victim of a fatal blow to the face from Lakers striker Kermit Washington. This ended his season after 23 games; After making a full recovery, Tomjanovich played in the NBA for three more seasons.
