Sean McVay is an American football coach who is the head coach of the Los Angeles Rams of the National Football Federation. McVay became the Rams head coach in 2017 at the age of 30, the youngest head coach in modern NFL history. He was also the youngest head coach to qualify for the playoffs, won the playoffs, reached the Super Bowl and was named AP NFL Coach of the Year. In its first season, McVay revived a Rams team that had the league's weakest attack last year in 2017's most successful team en route to the NFC West title. The season also marked the Rams' first winning record since 2003 and made his first playoff appearance since 2004. In his sophomore year, McVay led Rams to Super Bowl LIII. His success in Los Angeles is attributed to the NFL's changing hiring philosophy for head coaches, with many teams appointing young coaches to lead them.
