Tracey Ullman is an English-American actress, comedian, singer, writer, producer, and director. His first major appearances were on the British television sketch comedy shows A Kick Up the 80 and Three of a Kind. After a short singing career, she appeared as Candice Valentine in Girls on Top with Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders. She emigrated from the United Kingdom to the United States, where she starred in her own web comedy series, The Tracey Ullman Show, from 1987 to 1990, also made her first appearance in the animated series Episodes of The Simpsons. She went on to produce shows for HBO, including Tracey Takes On ..., for which she won numerous awards. Her comedy sketch series Tracey Ullman's State of the Union aired from 2008-2010 on Showtime. She has also appeared in a number of feature films. Ullman was the first British woman to be offered her own television sketches in the UK and the US.
