Ernest Joseph "Trey" Anastasio III is the American guitarist, singer, songwriter and songwriter best known as the lead singer of the rock band Phish, which he co-founded in 1983. He is nicknamed the composer of 152 original songs by Phish, 141 of which are solo credits, in addition to 41 credits awarded to the whole group. In addition to his work with Phish, Anastasio has released 11 solo albums and is part of a number of side projects including bands Trey Anastasio, Oysterhead, Ghosts of the Forest and Surrender to the Air. Trey performed her own works with the New York Philharmonic, the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, the National Symphony Orchestra, and many more. Anastasio wrote the music for the Broadway Hands on a Hardbody musical, for which he was nominated for the Tony Award for Best Original Music at the 67th Tony Awards in 2013 .
