Vangipurapu Venkata Sai Laxman, known as VVS Laxman, is a former Indian international cricketer who is an expert in cricket and cricket. A go-to player known for his sleek club style, Laxman played as a mid-size player in the cricket test. Laxman was one of the few players to have played 100 Trial matches, never competing in a Cricket World Cup a day. Despite being a relatively slow runner between matches, Laxman made up for his stroke and quick scoring style. In 2002, he was named one of the Five Cricketers of the Year in Wisden. In domestic cricket, Laxman represents Hyderabad. He also plays for Lancashire in County Cricket. He was also captain of Deccan Chargers of the Indian Premier League in the opening season. He then played for Kochi Tuskers's IPL team. He is currently an advisor to Sunrisers Hyderabad. In 2011, Laxman received the Padma Shri Award, the fourth highest civilian award in India.
