Karolina Myroslavivna Kuiek, commonly known as Ani Lorak, is a singer, songwriter, actress, businessman and former United Nations Goodwill Ambassador. After receiving the most noble and honorable title of Ukraine, People's Artist of Ukraine, Lorak was considered one of the most powerful and influential women in her country, as well as among the most beautiful women of 'Eastern Europe. Ani Lorak declared the highest income of any singer in Ukraine in 2014. Lorak is known outside the former Soviet Union after representing Ukraine in the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest with the song "Shady Lady" , coming in second after Dima Bilan from Russia.
