Arvydas Romas Sabonis is a retired Lithuanian basketball player and businessman. Recognized as one of the best European players of all time, he has won the Euroscar 6 times and won the Mr. He has played in various tournaments and spent seven seasons with the National Basketball Association in the United States. Playing in the middle position, Sabonis won the gold medal at the 1988 Summer Olympics, South Korea, for the Soviet Union, then won the bronze at the 1992 Olympics and the 1996 Olympic Games, while representing Lithuania. He retired from professional basketball in 2005. Sabonis was selected by the Portland Trail Blazers in the first round of the 1986 NBA tournament, but he didn't play his first NBA game until he was 30, in five years. 1995. Sabonis is considered one of the greatest passers, as well as one of the best crosses overall, in the history of the game.
