Christopher Elliott Wondolowski is an American professional soccer player who played as a striker for the San Jose earthquake. Nicknamed Wondo, he was the MLS top scorer for the 2010 and 2012 seasons, was also named MVP of the year 2012, and went on to become one of Major League Soccer's top strikers. As a college football player for the Chico State Wildcats, he played in 2004 for the Chico Rooks and was put on service during the 2005 San Jose earthquake. The team became the Houston Dynamo the following season, and he contributed to their MLS Cup titles in 2006 and 2007 before returning to Earthquakes Restored in 2009. With 161 goals winning Major League Soccer, he is the top scorer in history, as well as the only player in tournament history to have scored at least 150 goals in the regular season. As of September 28, 2019, Wondolowski is also the only player in tournament history to score 10 or more goals in 10 consecutive seasons.
