Jeffrey Lynne is an English singer, songwriter, record producer and multi-instrumentalist, and co-founder of the rock band Electric Light Orchestra. The group was formed in 1970 as an affiliate of Move, of which Lynne is also a member. After Roy Wood's departure in 1972, Lynne assumed sole management of the group and wrote, organized, and produced virtually all of their follow-up records. Previously, Lynne participated in the Idle Race as a founding member and main musician. After ELO's initial disbandment in 1986, Lynne released two solo albums: Armchair Theater and Long Wave. In addition, he started to produce many different artists. In 1988, under the pseudonyms Otis Wilbury and Clayton Wilbury, he co-founded the traveling Wilburys super group with George Harrison, Bob Dylan, Roy Orbison and Tom Petty.
